Mozart is thought to be to the far right in this view of an eighteenth-century Masonic lodge in Vienna. Free-Masonry both influenced and was influenced by the eighteenth-century Enlightenment. Many symbols which are commonly assumed to be purely Masonic symbols, such as the eye in the pyramid, are actually symbols common to such Enlightenment beliefs as Deism.
